How to Measure for Curtains
1. Choose the mounting position
Decide whether the rod or track will sit inside the window recess or above and outside the frame.
2. Measure the finished width
Measure the full rod or track width, excluding decorative finials. For a fuller look, the combined curtain width is typically greater than the finished width.
3. Measure the finished length
Measure from the top of the rod or track to your preferred endpoint: sill, below sill, floor, or a soft break at the floor.
4. Check twice
Use a metal tape measure, record measurements in inches, and verify each number before placing the order. Product-specific instructions take priority when shown.
